From the 27th of August till the 1st of September 2023, the 15th edition of the biannual congress of the European Federation of Catalysis Societies (EFCATS), the EuropaCat Congress, will take place in Prague (Czech Republic). For the first time, the conference will be jointly organized by the catalysis societies of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
According to the EuropCat2023 website, the congress has become a traditional meeting place for scientists and researchers from academia and industry all over Europe. Consequently, it has developed into a forum to discuss important challenges in the field of catalysis and the related industrial areas and beyond. On an industrial level, the focus of the congress will be on catalyst development and production, refining and petrochemistry, fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals synthesis, energy conversion including use of renewable resources, car manufacturing (exhaust gas cleaning systems, clean combustion technologies), new materials (organic, inorganic), gas and water cleaning, abatement of emissions from stationary and mobile sources.
As the topic of the conference is closely related to the IDEALFUEL project, partner CSIC has submitted an abstract.
