15th Rostocker Bioenergieforum Conference

16-17 June 2021 in Rostock, Germany

On 16 and 17 June 2021, the 15th edition of the Rostocker Bioenergieforum Conference has taken place in Rostock, Germany.

“Rostocker Bio-Energieforum” is a German national conference where the current and future technological advancements related to Bioenergy production and implementation are presented. Tec4Fuels found that this was a good platform to introduce the IDEALFUEL project to the German research and industrial audience. The general aim of the project and the compatibility testing from the Work package-4 has been presented. The following text summarized, in short, the aim of the presentation.

“Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a global challenge for current and future generations. In addition to electrification, the integration of alternative fuels with a high degree of greenhouse gas reduction potential will also become essential, especially in heavy-duty transport. The main objective of the IDEALFUEL project presented here is the development and testing of a low-sulfur heavy fuel oil produced from wood-based non-food biomass. This work covers the investigation of the material compatibility of the system components of a 4-stroke engine using the hardware-in-the-loop test method. The critical component identified and focused on will be the high pressure pump.”
