The 11th European Combustion Meeting was organised by the French section of Combustion Institute.
The ECM gathers people involved in Combustion reasearch, providing a common place to share ideas on new technologies and current developments in this topic. The conference consisted of keynote speeches (on sustainability, Iron and ammonia fuels, machine learning applied to LES modeling) and poster sessions. Social events were also organyzed on the 26th (Happy Hour) and the 27th (City tour and Dinner).
Andrea Di Matteo from TUe attended the event, together with colleagues from the same University (not involved in the project). He attended the event as the topic fits his PhD project (IDEALFUEL) and to meet other people having comparable path. Additionally, he presented a Poster called: “Relationship between ECN Spray D nozzle and a Marine-Size nozzle within OpenFOAM using FGM combustion model” for the project.
During the meeting, more posters related to BioFuel treatment and engine simulations were shown. A total of 700 people attended the meeting.
