On the first of May, 2020, the IDEALFUEL project started.
The IDEALFUEL project was launched on 1 May 2020 and will run for the next 48 months (till 30 April 2024). In the project, 11 partners from 4 different EU and associated countries will work together to develop an efficient and low-cost chemical pathway to convert lignocellulosic biomass into a Biogenic Heavy Fuel Oil (Bio-HFO) with ultra-low sulphur levels that can be used as drop-in fuel in the existing maritime fleet.
The IDEALFUEL project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement no. 883753.
